The name, Walleye, comes from the fact that their eyes, like a cat’s, reflect light.
Because of it’s unique night vision, the Walleye (Sander Vitreus), who is a real
predator and carnivore, has a distinct advantage over other species of fish.

cloudy days. In Canada, tea-coloured lakes and streams will also produce excellent
Walleye fishing.

and will readily take lures, baits and flies. We find the Walleye in the largest lake of
Wapoos Sibi as well as in two pristine crystal clear lakes on the territory. These two
lakes contain Walleye with a unique bright golden colour that can grow as large as
15 – 20 pounds.
