This superb fishing is unique in Canada ! Our fish are all natural and there is no stocking; our quotas allow you to go back home with a fine selection of game fish !

QUEBEC RED TROUT: (click on link to enter this section)

The Quebec Red Trout is very rare in Canada. It can be found only in northeastern Canada, mainly in the Province of Quebec and particularly at Wapoos Sibi. The Quebec Red Trout is often mistaken for the Arctic Char. Although the Quebec Red Trout is a member of the Char family, it does not enter salt or brackish seawater to feed. The Quebec Red Trout is in fact, a first cousin of the Speckled Trout. Wapoos Sibi is a one of the rare places in Canada where you can find the Quebec Red Trout, a fish known for its brilliant and amazing colours !

SPECKLED TROUT: (click on link to enter)

All 44 of our lakes contain this beautiful fighting fish, some of which may grow to 7 pounds. Whether you spin cast, fly fish, or enjoy bouncing a worm along the bottom, these speckled beauties will put you to the test! These are all natural, wild fish, and also inhabit our rivers and streams, some of which are set aside for fly-fishing only.

You can practice different types of fishing: FLY-FISHING (click on link to enter), spin and bait casting, trolling...

LAKE TROUT: (click on link to enter)

The favorite of Quebec red trout fishing amateurs, these massive beauties can grow to 42 pounds at Wapoos Sibi. Some have been caught on the Fly, or deep trolling with downriggers. Using the natural bait fish of the area, the Chub minnow can also be very effective, as well as crank baits, spinners and spoons.

WALLEYE (PICKEREL): (click on link to enter)

Several of our lakes, and some fast water is where you can do some very serious Walleye fishing. Some of them can go to twenty pounds and more! This jade green and yellow beauty will not only give you quite a battle, but, if you win, the great joy is in the eating! I doubt very much if there is a fish anywhere that tastes as good as fresh Walleye!.

GREAT NORTHERN PIKE:

This "heavy hitter" can be caught on almost anything from spoons, crank baits and even bucktails on a fly rod, The first several runs are very exiting, since these fish can grow to 45 pounds at Wapoos Sibi. Bring wire leaders and heavier tackle for these beauties!
